When you ask a question, sometimes you will get a computer generated response. Look at the bottom of the answer and if it says (as yours did) then you are not speaking to a live person, but a computer. If you wish to speak to a live expert, just click bad after the Auto answer and you will be transfered.

The B-series are high performance Inline-4 DOHC automotive engines from the modern series of Honda engines. From the factory they produce between 120 horsepower (89 kW) to around 200 horsepower (150 kW), with some models even having a redline over 8,500 rpm. The engine has been made in 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, and 2.0 liter variants, with and without VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Electronic Lift Control). Later models have some minor upgrades, for instance modifications to the intake valves and ports and piston tops, along with individual cylinder oil injectors (B18C models).
The B-series enjoyed great success through out its life as a racing engine either in street trim or full race form. Modified versions of the B-series have seen over 300 hp (224 kW) and 10,000 rpm naturally aspirated. Like all Honda engines of the 90s, it was replaced by the K-series in Civic and Integra applications. However, the B-series engine is still highly sought after by enthusiasts today.
