Weegy: Much of the burden of cancer in the United States can be traced to modifiable health behaviors that increase one’s risk of disease. [ This chapter reviews evidence on the contributions of five major risk factors to cancer incidence and mortality: tobacco use, physical inactivity, overweight and obesity, poor diet, and alcohol use. Although other lifestyle factors such as sun exposure, sexual practices, and exposure to infected blood also contribute substantially to cancer incidence, this chapter focuses only on the factors that are risks for common cancers and that also have large impacts on the incidences of other major diseases such as cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes, and osteoporosis. ]
