Question|Asked by Tamika2012

1 Answer/Comment
discount = face value * discount rate * time
face value = $66,900.00
discount rate = 9.75% = 0.0975
t = (100/30)/12 = 3.33/12 = 0.28
discount = $66,900.00 * 0.0975 * 0.28
discount = $1,826.37

Why would the age limit for beginning a career as probation or parole officer be cut off at 37? The age limit helps to weed out people who want a second career in corrections. Jobs in corrections are more readily handled by people in their thirties. Age limits should not be enforced, as it signals ageism. The officers need to be mature but also young enough to handle the stress and energy of a high-challenge job.
